IT WASN’T THE longest touchdown run in New Orleans Saints history, but Chris Ivory’s 56-yard ramble against Atlanta on Sunday is being labeled one of the greatest ever witnessed in the Big Easy.

That his 14-second tour de force—a combination of speed and power, including a wicked stiff-arm —helped spark the Saints to victory over their previously unbeaten arch-rivals will further cement the run in franchise lore.

Ivory was seeing just his second game action of the season.

Here’s how the NFL Cougs performed in week ten:

Erik Coleman, S, Detroit, 9th season: The Spokane native led all Lions with eight tackles (6 solo) in their 34-24 loss to Minnesota.

Jed Collins, FB, New Orleans, 4th season: Recorded one special teams tackle in the Saints’ 31-27 victory against Atlanta.

Eric Frampton, S, Dallas, 6th season: Notched one special teams tackle in the Cowboys’ 38-23 victory against Philadelphia.

Brandon Gibson, WR, St. Louis, 4th season: The Puyallup native caught three passes for 47 yards in the Rams’ 24-24 overtime sister-kisser with San Francisco.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 21st season: The Spokane native was perfect on three extra-point attempts and a 41-yard field goal try in the Lions’ loss to the Vikings. He also posted one special teams tackle.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Detroit, 7th season: Did not play; officially listed on the Lions’ reserve/non-football injury list.

Jason Hill, WR, New York Jets, 6th season: No recorded stats from the Jets’ 28-7 fall to Seattle.

Chris Ivory, RB, New Orleans, 3rd season: Rushed for 72 yards on 7 carries, including a 56-yard touchdown run in the Saints’ 31-27 win against the Falcons. He also caught one pass for 13 yards.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 13th season: The Vancouver native was true on a 41-yard field goal attempt and four point-after tries in the Bills’ 37-31 loss to New England.

Ropati Pitoitua, DE, Kansas City, 4th season: The Tacoma native posted five tackles (one solo) in the Chiefs’ 16-13 overtime loss to Pittsburgh, Monday.

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 10th season: The Tacoma native tallied two solo tackles in the Seahawks’ 28-7 defeat of the Jets.

Zack Williams, G, Carolina, 2nd season: Did not play; assigned to Panthers’ practice squad.
