Saints sign veteran CB Glenn

The New Orleans Saints continued to reshape their roster on Monday by signing veteran cornerback Aaron Glenn to a one-year contract.

Aaron Glenn, a 15-year NFL veteran, signed with the New Orleans Saints on Monday. The deal is reportedly for one year, but terms were not disclosed.

Glenn adds veteran depth to a secondary that may continue to undergo a big makeover in the upcoming draft. Already this offseason the Saints signed former LSU star Randall Gay away from New England to bolster the back end of their defense.

The Saints tied the Ravens for the most pass plays of 40 or more yards allowed in 2007. The Saints also ranked 30th in pass defense and 28th in interceptions.

Glenn spent a good portion of last season injured while with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In five games he managed 15 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown, which came against the Saints' NFC South rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Glenn began his career with the New York Jets in 1994 and became an immediate starter. He held down a job with the Jets until he joined the expansion Houston Texans in 2002. Glenn rejoined his old Jets mentor, Bill Parcells, in Dallas in 2005 and stayed for two years before moving on to the Jaguars.

Glenn has 41 career interceptions.
