The New Orleans Saints made several roster moves on Monday, including the release of DE Marquies Gunn.

The New Orleans Saints announced Monday they have signed veteran free agent defensive tackles Tim McGill and James Reed and waived defensive end Marquies Gunn and wide receiver Curtis Hamilton.

McGill, a 6-2, 330-pound defensive tackle, played collegiately at the University of Illinois and has had stints with the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Green Bay Packers since first entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2004. The first-year player has also played professionally in NFL Europe and the Arena Football League.

Reed is entering his eighth NFL season, playing five seasons (2001-05) with the New York Jets and the last two with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 6-foot, 286-pound defensive tackle is a veteran of 99 regular-season NFL games, tallying 199 tackles and seven career sacks. He was drafted by the Jets in the seventh round out of Iowa State in 2001.

Gunn and Hamilton each joined the Saints as free agents, having been signed earlier in training camp.
