Biography:

2006: Played in 11 games, starting 10 at left tackle ... Rushing offense finished first in the Big Ten and 10th in the nation with an average per game of 188.8 yards ... The 5.2 yards per carry led the conference and were fifth-highest in the nation ... Team rushed for 2,266 yards, the most since the 1973 season and the average was highest since 1978 ... Offense rushed for over 200 yards on seven different occasions ... Team rushed for 214 yards vs. Northwestern ... Blocked for team to rush for 316 yards vs. Purdue ... Helped pave the way for 202 yards rushing against Penn State, which had been allowing just 85 yards per game ... Helped produce 211 rushing yards and a 2-of-2 red zone performance against Ohio ... Helped pave the way for 209 rushing yards vs. Indiana ... Helped pave the way for 345 yards rushing and a 5-of-5 red zone performance that resulted in five touchdowns against Eastern Illinois ... Joined the team in spring of 2006.

2005: Sat out a season after leaving Oklahoma.

Prior to Illinois: Won the starting job as right tackle before leaving Oklahoma for personal reasons in 2005 ... Backup offensive tackle who saw action in four games of 13 in 2004. Redshirted in 2003.

First team All-State by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and the Illinois Coaches Association ... Most Outstanding Lineman in the state by the Illinois Football Coaches Association ... Played in the Army All-American Bowl ... Lettered and started his final two seasons ... Played offensive tackle and defensive end as a senior ... Did not give up a sack in either of his final two seasons ... Graded at 90 percent for the season and recorded 86 pancakes ... Broke his wrist in the second quarter of a game early in his junior season and missed seven contests ... High school coach was Matt Foster ... Threw the discus on the track and field team.
